We’ve recently spent two days on site at a new development by a client, clearing debris from a set of Beany Kerb blocks (kerb blocks that incorporate drainage channels) that had become blocked by debris due to other works in the surrounding area.

Once we had cleared away the debris, we completed a CCTV inspection to ensure that all blockages had been cleared and the drainage system was able to work effectively, and all ahead of schedule.

Drainage challenges on construction sites

No matter the size of the construction site, developers have a variety of needs linked to the installation of new drainage, such as mapping existing systems, determining and fixing drainage issues and preparing drainage for full usage.

Whether it’s before, during or after the work starts, it’s important that any issue regarding drainage can be resolved quickly and efficiently to avoid disruption or delay to other aspects of the development. For this to happen, developers need to be able to call in specialist teams with the right equipment, skills and experience.
